Nestled in the Ozark Mountains of Southern Missouri, Willow Mountain Mushrooms has been providing gourmet quality mushrooms since 2004.

Using only Natural means to grow our mushrooms we maintain a high quality mushroom FULL of natural flavor not chemicals.

While other producers concentrate on a long shelf life by using chemicals ~

Willow Mountain Mushrooms specializes in delivering fresh picked mushrooms directly to you thereby avoiding the distribution system and the time it sits on your local stores shelf.

In doing this we maintain the mushrooms wonderful natural flavor that many people have told us they have never tasted before in store bought mushrooms.

Organic Produce Co-op

Organic Produce boxes delivered to your home, work, co-op meeting place or pick up point.

We offer a wide variety of boxes starting at the $20 level ~ Basic mixed boxes, veggie only, fruit only, snack/raw eating, juicing, Dried nut and fruit and add on's are available each week.

Each Wednesday we send an email letting you know what to expect in the following weeks box.

Standing orders are highly suggested, but not required. You can customize your standing order each week... or just 'know' that it will be there on your delivery day.

Being centrally located ... we deliver to Mountain Home, Gainesville and Theodosia on Wednesdays and to West Plains and Willow Springs on Thursdays.

Our supplier is unique in its approach to acquiring produce for the Co-op. The founders are farmers that got together in 2005 to create a co-op to help distribute their products. So, what they do is get products from smaller family farms first, many of which have CSA's, and then fill in the blanks with larger organic farms. Our goal is to do the same thing... utilize Ozark growers then fill in the blanks with what the supplier has to offer utilizing the smaller farms that they work with first.

Welcome to Willow Mountain Food Coop!

Our coop was created in August of 2011 to fill the need for high quality organic/naturally grown foods and humanly as well as environmentally sound derived goods at economical/wholesale prices. We work with a number of distributors and manufactures to get the highest quality goods at the best prices available.  Without the overhead of rent, personnel and upkeep of a building we are able to offer items at direct wholesale prices giving you a tremendous savings.  By combining our collective orders, together, we can meet minimum wholesale orders thereby procuring products that you would otherwise pay msrp for.   We are continually seeking out new venues to help us achieve this goal. 
 
Another thing that makes a food coop GREAT is that we can order in larger bulk quantities and split them among members.  Say you would like to purchase organic steel cut oats… you don’t need a whole 50# bag, but would like 10#’s… we can order the 50# bag and split the remaining 40#’s among other members!   This is one of my favorite parts of a buying club.  We get to try new things with minimal risk and reap the benefits of a lower price… often times discovering wonderful ‘new to us’ products along the way that we would otherwise not have purchased and never known existed!
How it works:  members place their orders with us (not with the distributor).  We combine the orders together and send out a ‘splits report’ or splits to be filled.
A ‘splits report’ shows items that other members would like to split to make it more economical for them and others to purchase.  With larger bulk bags we get better pricing.  In some cases you may never have thought to try something… this gives you the opportunity to do so.
As per the above example - you would see it on a splits report like this:

When you get the email you hit reply – type in your name and phone number and fill in the quantities from the list of products that you ‘want’ to add to your order then hit send.  The orders are filled on a first come first served basis meaning that the people that buzz in to fill the case first get the opportunity to fill it first.

General information

You get the products at the wholesale rate – the same rate in the wholesale catalogs and on line!  We collect a 5% fee on your order total before taxes to cover office and travel expenses as well as our time in collecting, collating, placing, bagging and distributing the various orders.  Orders are pre-paid per estimate.  No order is too small or too big.
Taxes are based on our location as everything is distributed from here.  The current rate in Tecumseh is 6.225% for non-food and 3.225% for food items. 
We have pick up points in West Plains, MO as well as Mountain Home, AR. 
To get started all we need is your name, address, phone, and email address.  If you have a facebook account ask to be added to our Willow Mountain Food Cooperative page so you get up to the minute news and information concerning new vendors, sales, distribution of orders, etc.
Country Life Natural Foods is our main vending source - we base our large monthly ordering/distribution on their schedule.  We coordinate all other orders to arrive about the same time when possible.  When we add produce we hope to be able to order every other week or even every week.
